At CTS we are always looking at new ways to provide the best service at the most cost effective way to carry out all forms of legionella control for all our clients.
For this reason we have now started to use Stabilised Silver Hydrogen Peroxide instead of Chlorine for cold water storage tank cleaning and system disinfections. We have found this to be a much more effective chemical for our legionella control department compared to using chlorine.
The reason for the change is:
It is a stronger and more effective oxidising agent than chlorine and chlorine dioxide. It is less toxic and breaks down into water and oxygen. … Normal hydrogen peroxide is fairly unstable causing it to be effective for very short periods of time, particularly when used as a water disinfectant
We have trialled and tested our new product in several sites and found it to be extremely effective at combating legionella and other water borne pathogens. As a legionella controlling chemical we have only got great feedback from all our customers.
